My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #81 Spring Pastels

According to the calendar Spring won't be here until next month. I don't know where you live, but here in Missouri we've had 80 degree weather all week. It was really easy to come up with a card for this challenge. We would love for you to create an Easter card or project using the gorgeous pastel colors of Spring!

Now, I have a bit of trouble using pastel colors so I tried several different color combinations on my card before I was happy. I also used several different embossing folders, but it was easy for me to pick the image I wanted to use. I just love this image from The Stamping Boutique "Boy Rabbit in Egg." I colored the image with my Copics and then triple mounted. I think adding the black helped. I used some white baker's twine and colored it with the same markers I used on my image and added a little bling. All papers and bellies are CTMH. Hope you enjoy this little cutie. I just received the greatest compliment today from Lisa over at Scrapping Spot. She nominated me for the Liebster Award and left me some "love" on her blog! She is one brave lady and has decided to go back to school. Hop on over to her blog and check out her creations.

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #75 and DT Call

The challenge this time at Penny's Paper-Crafty is a Recipe - 3 buttons, 2 DP, and 1 ribbon. We are once again lucky enough to have two wonderful sponsors. Welcome to another challenge at CCCB. This month's challenge is sponsored by Digital Delights by Louby Loo. The winner will get $10 to spend in the store. The challenge is to use ribbon and/or lace on your project. I used Cupcake Timmy and colored him with my Copics. I added a little Clear Star Gelly Roll to the candle, flame and the cupcake wrapper. I double mounted him and then placed him on some fun paper. I decided to color my chipboard ribbon slide with a matching Copic and stamped a number one from one of my many sets. All products are CTMH except the ribbon which came from my stash.

My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #80 Easel Card & Add a Shamrock

St. Patty's Day is just around the corner and everyone becomes just a little bit Irish. Challenge #80 at My Sheri Crafts is a fun easel card and we want to see a shamrock or two on your project. For my card, I used a cute image from The Stamping Boutique called "Luck of the Irish." I colored the image with my Copics and used my Gelly Roll Metallic to add some pop to the gold coins and used my Gelly Roll Clear Star on the horseshoe. The challenge this time at Penny's Paper-Crafty is a Photo Inspiration!! So, dig out your stash and show us what you've got. We are once again lucky enough to have two wonderful sponsors. I was a little concerned about how to make this little cutie look funky like the photo. Then I remembered one of my favorite distressing techniques. I colored Lenny with my Copics and then used reinker and a glue brush to distress all the papers. All papers and embellishments are CTMH.

Kaboodle Doodles - Week 108 Challenge

The challenge this week at Kaboodle Doodles is to create a project that uses shades of purple. Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Pink Gem Designs.
I got to pick an image to work with so I chose Jodi. She's a little cutie so it was pretty easy to color her in shades of purple with my Copics. I used my Art Philsophy Cartridge to make the frame and Sonoma Level 2 paper pack from CTMH. I used my Cuddle Bug to add some interest to the strip in the middle and finished it off with a couple of buttons. All papers were sponged with Cocoa ink. My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #79 Warm Wishes

The weather is so cold (usually - LOL!) around this time of the year that we should wish our friends warm thoughts and wishes! Challenge #79 is "Warm Wishes." An example would be anything warm....such as fires, warm soup, baking, hot cocoa! Use your imagination! To me, there isn't anything warmer than a nice cup of hot chocolate with yummy whipped cream. Of course, some may say a cup of coffee, a latte or hot toddy! I used this adorable stamp "Thanks a Latte" from Bugaboo Stamps. I colored the images with my Copics and added some Smootch and Liquid Glass to the whipped cream for some dimension. I also outlined the dots and stripe with my clear star Gellyroll pen. Papers are new from CTMH (Stella) and I used some of the new baker's twine. I sponged all paper with Cocoa Ink. Hope you enjoy. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge #73

The challenge this time at Penny' Paper-Crafty is "Anything Goes" and our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps. I used Cattail Pond from Gingerloft. I decided to try something a little different this time and colored my image with watercolor pencils. Then I blended them with a water brush to get a watercolor effect. I used some of the fabulous new CTMH papers from Victory Level 2 paper pack. I sponged all papers with Cocoa Ink. I also added 3 Durable Studs from CTMH (self adhesive).

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog (CCCB)

Yippie skippy am I excited! I was chosen to be on a brand new design team at CCCB which means I get to play with some more fun images and get to meet some more fabulous crafters. I'm on Team B so my projects will be posted on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The sponsor for this month is A Day for Daisies and one lucky person will win a $12 gift certificate to spend in the store. I just love their whimsical images. The challenge is to use pink, red and purple in your project. Yep, that's right all three colors. Now if you are a red hatter like me, that won't be a problem. We already know how to rock those colors!

I used Tiny Pixie Daisy and colored her with my Copics. I used my Art Philosphy Cartridge and cut out a frame which I popped up with some foam dots. All papers are sponged with Cocoa Ink. I used some of the new CTMH Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon which I colored with my Copics to match perfectly! I added some buttons for a little pop and called it good.

My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #78 Love is in the Air

Challenge #78 is "Love is in the Air." We would love for you to create a project with at least two hearts in honor of Valetine's Day and Heart Month. My card this time is one of my all time favorites to make and so easy. Click here for a tutorial from Splitcoaststampers. All products are CTMH (except the strip of bling on the front). The cardstock and B&T paper are from Roxy Level 2 paper pack. Once again I used my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge to cut out the frame and the hearts (page 37 and 63). I sponged all paper with Cocoa Ink. The sentiment is from the February Stamp of the Month "Thoughtful Tidings"

and stamped in Archival Black. I love using Archival Black because it gives such a rich black color to your cards. The flower is from the new CTMH Idea Book as well. Hope you enjoy.

I decided to join the challenge over at Sentimental Sundays so I used my Cricut and Art Philosphy cart to make the frame for my image. I used Potted Tuplips which I colored with my Copics. I stamped a sentiment and added some Licorice Opaque Adhesive Gems to the pot. I distressed all papers using white reinker and a glue brush. I ran the edge of my frame thru my Cuddlebug and the Swiss Dots folder. I added a ribbon and paper butterfly to finish it off. All papers and bellies are CTMH. The challenge this week at Kaboodle Doodles is create a project that features snow, snowmen or snowflakes. I don't know about where you live, but in Missouri we had 60 degrees and sunny today. I was out again without a coat, so this challenge didn't feel quite right. Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Di's Digi Downloads and the winner will receive a $10 voucher.

My card is created using the sketch from Skipping Stones Design and using Wonderland Level 2 paper pack and a stamp from CC1014 from Close To My Heart. I stamped the image and sentiment in Chocolate and scissors distressed the edges. I inked all other papers in Chocolate. I colored the image a bit with my Copics and added a little bling. My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #76 Time for a Change

Challenge #76 is "Time for a Change." We would love for you to create a project with a clock represented. I have wanted to create a cover for my journal so I knew this would be the perfect opportunity. The journal is retired from CTMH and has a 5 x 7 opening in the front cover. The sentiment I used was computer generated and I found the clock front online as well. I used Sopia paper and punched out a 2 inch scallop circle. Once again I used my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and cut out the tab on page 48 at 2 1/2 inches. I thought it looked like my grandmas old mantle clock. I double mounted the saying and sponged with Smoothie ink. The "clock" is sponged with Black. I found some bling in my stash that I used to jazz it up. I used pop dots to pop up the clock for some dimension. I don't make resolutions, I make goals and my goal for this year is to get fit. This will allow me to choose and area to work on so I am planning to get more mentally and spiritually fit in January. I plan to use my new journal to write my thoughts, prayer requests, answers to prayers, etc. Hope you enjoy. Update on my pink "Charlie Brown" tree - family issues took priority over my tree. I have it on the table in my craft room so it will still be in sight. Someday....

Challenge #75 is "Let it Snow." We would love for you to create a project showcasing snow and snowflakes. All products are CTMH and the paper is from Wonderland Level 2 paper pack. Once again I used my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and cut out the tag on page 22 at 3 inches twice. I tore the B&T tag to add to the cardstock tag. I then put tape on the backside of the tag and sprinkled Prisma Glitter on the back so the glitter would stay put. I ran the textured cardstock thru my Cuddlebug. I sponged everything with Chocolate ink, added some ribbon and snowflakes. I popped up the tag with foam squares to give it dimension. Hope you enjoy. Update on my pink "Charlie Brown" tree - it's not quite finished. I'm spending today with my scrappin' girls and my tree is #1 on my list to get completed.

As soon as I heard about this blog hop I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I've had the directions for an envelope album in my idea drawer for a couple of years and decided now was the time. I used five A2 card size

envelopes. The key is to use an odd number so your accordian folds work out correctly. Then you glue the flap of one envelope to the front of the first envelope. You continue to glue each flap to the front of the next envelope until you're done. Next you accordian fold the

envelopes. I cut some textured cardstock at 4 x 5 1/2 and ran it thru my Cuddlebug. I then glued them to cover the envelope flaps and make everything more sturdy. I chose to work with Audrey's Present and colored her with my Copics. I double mounted the image on textured cardstock and added her to

the front. I then turned everything over and added some B&T paper cut at 3 x 5 1/2. I added an extra piece of textured cardstock to cover the last flap. I

jazzed up the inside of the envelopes with some rub ons and then created a sleeve to hold everything together. I sponged with Chocolate ink and all papers are CTMH. You can use this to hold shopping lists, wish lists, coupons, receipts, etc.

I used Jen's Sugar n Snap Merry Christmas again since I could use red and green and made it into a tag. I colored this adorable image with my Copics, gave the fur on his hat a little bam with my souffle gel pen and added some Stickles to the snow. If you haven't checked out The Outlawz, you really need to head on over and do it (after you leave me some love - LOL!). This is an awesome site and they give great prizes and have tons of challenges. I was lucky enough to be there at the right time and got hooked up with this really great challenge. Sandi Huggett and Anne Fenten have started a Creative Freebie Challenge and they gave us four of the digis they drew and all we had to do was use one of them in a project and post before the end of two weeks. Then they sent two more images with the same rules. So here's the card I created using one of their fabulous images. I can hardly wait to get the next two! I colored the image with my Copics and added some white from my Souffle pen to the edge of Santa's hat. I added some sparkle to the bell with my Clear Star Gelly Roll pen. Jens Digi Stamps - Merry & Bright Challenge

The challenge this week at Jens Digi Stamps is Merry & Bright. We would love for you to create something using non-traditional colors - no red or green. It's really not that hard...just look at all the colors of trees that are available now! I created a card using Jen's Sugar n Snap Merry Christmas. My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #74 Ornament or Home Decor

Challenge #74 is Ornament or Home Decor - we would love for you to create an ornament or something festive for your home. I know we don't all celebrate Christmas so I would love to see some projects that reflect your beliefs. I decided to go with a home decor item and I think it just might make it's way to my office. All products are CTMH and once again I used my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I used the My Creations Banner which comes with 8 white chipboard pennants and 7 jump rings to hook them together. Since I only used three I can make another banner that says PEACE. Can you say score!! I covered the banners with B&T paper and then used the scallop shape on page 66. I cut each letter at 4" four times and glued them together to add some dimension. I did play around with using a snowflake as the letter O, but went with the letter this time.

Everything is sponged with Cocoa ink. I popped up the letters with some foam squares and added some bling from my stash. I used two kinds of ribbon to give it extra bam and added some mini red bling to the brads. Hope you enjoy. Make sure you stop back in a week to see what I've created next. I bought a pink "Charlie Brown" tree at Hobby Lobby and am planning to make it a breast cancer pink ribbon tree!

Wow - I have had a blast this weekend. I did a little cleaning in my craft area and then rewarded myself with some crafting time. I just can't seem to get enough "coloring" lately. The TSB Challenge this time is Thanksgiving and I created this card using the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. I used Tracey's "AJ's a Pilgram" image which I colored with my Copics. I used some paper from my CTMH stash which I sponged with Cocoa. I also used some CTMH Kraft Ready Borders (you can find them on sale here) that I sponged as well, added a couple of buttons and called it good. So hop on over and join the fun. Practicing My Copics Coloring

I have been having a blast practicing the techniques I learned at my Copics class I took on 11/11/11. Two fabulous ladies over at The Outlawz (Sandi Huggett and Anne Fenton)have started a really cool challenge. They are providing some free images and if you enter at least one in the challenge they will send you 4 more free images every two weeks. How awesome is that! Anyway, here's the card I created. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I colored the image with my Copics and also colored my pearls so they would match perfectly! All paper is from CTMH and the stamp is from D1380 Just for the Holidays. Everything is sponged with Cocoa and the image and sentiment are popped up with mounting foam. I also added a little Flower Soft to the top of the stocking.

Kaboodle Doodles - Week 93 Challenge

The Kaboodle Doodles Challenge this week is Thanksgiving and this week's winner will receive some wonderful images from A Day for Daisies. My card features one of their digis "A Kiss from Sis." I didn't do any coloring on this image, but think I may make another card and try my hand at some watercolors. I found a sentiment online and printed it from my computer. I used some Autumn paper from Olivia Level 2 paper pack and mounted the image and sentiment on textured Barn Red cardstock. The flowers are Bazill, but everything else is CTMH.

I distressed using my favorite technique. You dip a glue brush (availabe in packs of 10 at your local hobby store) in some reinker and flick the brush from the outside of your paper in to get a feathered effect. I generally use Cocoa or Chocolate, but tried Parchment on this card and I think the results compliment the paper very well. Now it's your turn!

Challenge #72 is Be Thankful - we would love for you to create a card or project with a Thanksgiving or Thank You theme. I had a blast creating my card for this challenge. I played with my Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and used the design on page 51. I cut the card at 6 inches and the circle and decorative layer at 5 inches. The image is from C1473 Remarkable Wreath.

I stamped the main wreath in Cocoa and then made a "puddle pad" to stamp the leaves and thank you sign. I cut the image out and added a couple of waxy flax bows. I distressed everything using a sponge and Cocoa ink pad. I popped up the design layer to give dimension. All supplies are Close To My Heart.

How to make a "puddle pad." Take a piece of felt and 3 - 5 bottles of reinker. Place drops of reinker on the felt at random places. I usually squeeze 2 or 3 drops in each place. The ink will run together and give you a perfect color for Fall leaves. This becomes your ink pad. Make sure you clean your stamp between so you have a nice image each time you stamp.

I used Tracey's "cupcake" digi which I colored with my Copics. I used my Art Philosphy cartridge to cut out the frame and my Swiss Dots folder and Cuddlebug to emboss the Cotton Candy cardstock. I add some paper flowers and embellished with Epoxy Stickers. I stamped "Celebrate" on a chipboard tag that was covered with matching B&T paper. All papers and embellishments are CTMH.

My Sheri CRAFTS - Challenge #72 All About Sports

So excited here in Kansas City because our Chiefs play on Halloween night and the game will be on TV. What a conflict for moms and dads....take the kiddies trick or treating or watch the Chiefs. Speaking of football, today at My Sheri Crafts my first design team creation will be revealed. Challenge #72 is All About Sports and I have created a scrapbook page of my grandson. A professional photographer was at the game and got several awesome pics! Just look at the determination on his face!!

It's a 12x12 layout and I have triple matted my 8x8 picture. All papers have been distressed using a sponge and Desert Sand ink pad. I cut the tags (page 38) and letters for Koy's name with my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. I added some colonial white waxy flax so they hang like a banner. I stamped the chipboard stars with the year and added some bigger brads for a little more pop. All supplies are Close To My Heart.

The Kaboodle Doodles Challenge this week is "Chippy Chipboard" and the challenge winner will receive three awesome images from Simply Betty Stamps.

I used Betty's Mikey's Prezzie image which I colored with my Copics. My chipboard is a ribbon slide from CTMH that I colored with my Copics and stamped "Just for You...Peek Inside" from CTMH C1448 Magic Tabs stamp set. The paper is from CTMH and everything is sponged with CTMH Cocoa ink. I used my Swiss Dots Cuddle Bug folder to give some texture and the ribbon is CTMH as well. I went around the ribbon edge on the package and the ribbon slide with my Clear Star Gelly Roll pen.

September Scrapbook Club

I had an awesome time at our monthly scrapbook club/crop on Saturday. The club layout is straight out of the Fall/Winter Close To My Heart Idea Book (page 44).

I used my new Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge created exclusively for CTMH. Now, I have cut intricate designs on my Cricut before without much success. The images for this layout came out clean and most of the small pieces were left on the mat. I was really amazed.

The girls loved the faux stitching technique using a tracing wheel, ruler and acrylic paint. Everything was sanded to distress. Paper is from Mischief Level 2...perfect for those frightening Halloween pictures.

The Stamping Boutique is not only celebrating it's 2nd birthday, but they are also looking for design team members. I am having so much fun designing for Kaboodle Doodles that I thought I would throw my "card" in the ring and see what happens. I used the adorable cupcake image from The Stamping Boutique and colored it with my Copics. I added a little sparkle using my glitter pen. I used Robyn's Hot Coco image which I colored with my Copics, added a little Smootch to the whipped cream and popped up with foam. The paper is from CTMH Mayberry Level 2 kit. Everything is sponged with CTMH Cocoa ink and I added a cute crocheted flower and button. My ric rac is one of CTMH's Kraft Color Ready Borders that I sponged with Cocoa ink as well. This card was designed for my husband, Mr. Wonderful. The inside sentiment says, "Love is like swallowing hot chocolate before it has cooled. It takes you by suprise at first, but keeps you warm for a long time." I love you, Mr. Wonderful!!

Today was a great day even though Mr. Wonderful and I are both feeling a little under the weather. A scrappin' buddy came by for a visit and brought her adorable little girls. We spent some time chatting and I helped her 4 year old do a little crafting. You know you can't start them too young! It was great to see her again and to see how big her girls have gotten. Really hope things would work out so she could come back to club and I could spend more time with her. I know she has lots of pictures to get "out of the box" or "off the phone" and onto a page. The Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week is "use primary colors for your primary colors" and the challenge winner will receive four images from Meljen's Designs. So your card's main colors should be red, blue and yellow. You can use other colors for accents.

I used Meljen's Fancy Little Teapot and colored using Prisma watercolor pencils and aqua brush. I used Far-Sided Focus sketch from my CTMH Wishes Card Confidence Program for the card design. All cardstock, ribbon and bling are CTMH. I decided to scissor distress the cardstock for a different look. Inside sentiment says, "I think you're Tearrific."

CTMH Fall/Winter Idea Book

I can't believe in less than 24 hours everyone can view the new Idea Book online. What's really fun is this has been one exciting book. Usually when consultants go to convention they are pretty hush hush about what's in the new book...not this year. The news that CTMH was going to offer an exclusive Cricut cartridge was the hottest thing out there and still is today! It was featured on Cricut's Hello Thursday and it's been on every blog from My Pink Stamper to Everyday Cricut. I'm sure there have been a few new consultants just because of this cartridge. The You Tube video has had thousands of hits and I'm sure will have more in the days ahead. If you don't have a consultant, I would love to hook you up with this cartridge. I do hope you will take a minute to check out all the other new things that CTMH is introducing especially the new background & texture paper. It's now heavier (which will work nicely with the new Cricut cart), plus it has a design on the tear strip that you can use on your page or cards. What a fabulous idea.

It was a long hot week and I'm glad it's finally Friday. Plan to spend a little time crafting in my studio this weekend. Have a couple of ideas floating around in my head and I need to get them down on paper. My friend Christy saw my post about making Cards for Soldiers and she says she has really missed working on them as well, so she's in...going to a weekend crop the end of September and my plan is to just work on cards.

It was a great day at work. Received a couple of atta boys or in my case atta girls. It's always nice to receive recognition for a job well done. Speaking of done...I finished my book last night and now I have some exercises to complete. Stay tuned for further developments.

The Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week is stitching - faux or real and the challenge winner will receive two images from The Crafty Pad.

I used this Berry Sweet Strawberries image from The Crafty Pad. I used my Copics (R83, R85, G82, G99, C1 and C2) and then added a little Liquid Glass to the berry seeds. I decided to add my own stitching and used black embroidery thread. I used paper from CTMH Sweetheart Level 2 paper pack, added some black ribbon and a couple of black buttons with CTMH Waxy Flax. Anybody hungry for strawberry shortcake?

Joy Journal Day 7

I met with a special friend today and she helped reinforce the only attitude I can control is my own. She shared about the pain she felt in losing her father and how she still misses him terribly, but it's not the same as in the beginning. She said there will be songs on the radio or you will read articles or see things that remind you of your dad. I've already experienced that a few times so I knew what she was talking about.

On my way home from work tonight, I stopped at Mickey D's to get a diet coke. While waiting in the drive thru, I was watching the man in the car behind me. He was an older gentleman and his mannerisms reminded me of my dad. When I got to the window to pay, I told them I wanted to pay for his order. I told the cashier to tell the gentleman he reminded me of my daddy and that I was really missing today. As I pulled to the next window, I could see the gentleman hand the cashier his money and then I saw the look on his face. It was priceless.

Yes, my friend there are signs all around and I'm the only one that can change my attitude. This time they were tears of joy instead of pain. Thank you for your encouragement.

Joy Journal Day 6

Not much joy in the beginning of my day...realizing no matter how much I want it, some things are never going to be better. The only thing I can do is change the attitude I have about those things. So, thank you to some very special people for helping me realize that I'm amazing and I deserve to be happy. If it means there are people I don't talk to, then so be it. If it means there are people that I don't hang around with, then so be it. It doesn't have to be forever and I'm praying that it's not. Only time will tell and who knows, maybe MY attitude will change so much that I will look back on this point in time and think...seriously what was the BIG deal. Until then, I'll be taking it one day at a time and spend time doing the things that make me happy...making cards.

My good friend Mary calls her crafting studio her happy place. Maybe I need a name for mine...got any ideas??

I decided to head back to the book I'm reading for today's post. List three or four things that you do well. I would be interested to see if you agree with my list.
1. I make fabulous cards.
2. I can make a mean pizza...even though my husband would tell you it's been so long he really can't remember.
3. I am a good listener.
4. I am a good teacher.

Most of the things I'm good at bring me great joy. Especially, making cards. I was thinking just the other day how much I miss making cards for soldiers. I need to set a goal and go for it. The year my friend Christy and I made over 2,000 Christmas cards was amazing. It was so much fun and it felt so good. I don't know if I can set a goal that lofty, but I can set a goal of at least 500. I learned a lot from that first year, so now that I have a goal, I need to get a plan. Guess now would be a good time to get started.

Kaboodle Doodles - Week 76 Challenge

The Kaboodle Doodles challenge this week was to emboss and the challenge winner will receive a $10 voucher to The Paper Shelter.

I used this cute teddy bear with flower from The Paper Shelter and colored with my Copics (R81, RV34, YG11, YG13, E31, E35 and E37). I used paper from CTMH Sophia Level 2 paper pack and used my Swiss Dots Cuddlebug folder to emboss. I distressed the papers with my favorite technique using a glue brush and CTMH Chocolate Reinker. Finished it off with some CTMH Chocolate ribbon and added a couple of knot bows with glue dots.

Today was a great day! Had lunch with Mr. Wonderful and his daughter, Alissa. Heard about the fun time she had in Florida over July 4th. Had some good food and some good laughs. Got to see our grandson and spend a little time with him as well. Great way to spend a hot Summer afternoon. Overall, I would have to say that this weekend was a joy! Got to spend time with some special people in my life and do the things I love...snuggle, talk, and craft! Happy...happy...happy!!!

Wow...what a week. Thursday was my birthday and I got a HUGE surprise. Three of my scrappin' friends and one of their kiddos was waiting for me when I got home from work and took me to dinner! It was good friends, good food and great fun. I do believe Ashley found out she really didn't care for expresso.

Plus, my CTMH Fall/Winter Idea Books arrived! Looking thru that book was like having a fine dessert. I savored each page! All I can say about that is WOW!!! CTMH out did themselves AGAIN! The book goes live on August 1st so come back and check it out!

Today I'm off to scrap so I better get packing....I have a bit of paper to go thru to see what I want to use up this time!

What happens when you hear a baby laugh? Don't you usually laugh right along? Especially when they have that cute belly laugh that keeps going and going. Some of my favorite You Tube videos have been of babies laughing. I catch myself laughing along. I play them over and over again because they make me feel so good. How fun would it be if before we started meetings at work, we all watched a video of a baby laughing...I think the out come of the meeting just might be a little brighter. Or maybe we should watch one before AND after the meeting. "Before we get started, I'd like to show this short video clip." I think it would be worth it just to see some of those people that never crack a smile get into a real belly laugh. I know that would make me laugh.

I think before the next meeting I attend, I'll pull up my favorite baby laughing video and see how it goes. It just may be the start of a new trend.

Whom do you laugh with the most? Let's see...since I'm pretty famous for my laughter, that could be a hard one. I would probably have to go with Mr. Wonderful since I spend the most time with him. How about you...whom do you laugh with the most?

Now, I want YOU to remember a time when you laughed so hard you thought you'd fall over. I have more than one, but the one that I remember the most is when I was playing cards with my dad, mom and Lynn. I was recovering from surgery so I had a pillow handy in case I had to sneeze. Little did I know I would need it for laughing. My dad kept doing things that made me laugh which caused me great pain. He got tickled and started laughing which caused me to laugh more and...well, you get the picture. It was a great time and one of the memories I will always cherish. So, if you haven't laughed in awhile, why not try it today!

I am so excited. This is my first post as a design team member for Kaboodle Doodles. This week's challenge is "cut out your image or something else with scissors." The challenge winner this week with get 3 digi images from Stampfairy.

I used Kasi from Stampfairy and sponged her with CTMH Autum Terracotta and Sunflower inks. I colored her nose and ears with Copics (E35 and V0000). I gave her some CTMH Black Waxy Flax whiskers and popped up her paws with foam tape. I used CTMH Passages Level 2 paper pack for all papers except the computer generated sentiment and sponged everything with CTMH Cocoa ink. To finish off the card, I added a piece of CTMH Color Ready Kraft Borders sponged with Cocoa.

A New Beginning

My monthly scrapbook club met on Saturday so I got to hang out with "my girls!" I love these women so much! Everyone needs to have a group of women they can be themselves around. We have a blast each month, cropping, talking, eating, talking, swapping, talking....did I mention talking?? We range in age from 13 to 56 (okay in 4 days I'll be 57). There isn't anything I wouldn't do for these gals and I know I could count on them as well.

I started reading a new book. Now, I'm not a reader, but the title really intrigued me...Life Is Short, Wear Your Party Pants by Loretta LaRoche. One of the first things she mentions is everyone should have a Joy Journal so my journey begins won't you come along for the ride??

Joy for today - I have a wonderful husband that loves me unconditionally and treats me like a queen! He is my soul mate and we have been married for 28 beautiful years! I love you, Mr. Wonderful!

Twenty one years ago today I was in the delivery room with my stepdaughter, Cassandra. She was about to become a mother to a special little boy. Although, she was just a child herself, she was determined to be the best mom she could be. I am very proud to say that she did a fine job in raising her son to be a man. She had help along the way...thanks Lynn for raising Devin as your own. You are one great guy. If the name Mr. Wonderful wasn't already taken, I might have to give that name to you. September has come and gone

I can't believe it's October already. New product launch, vacation, hubby's illness and planning for my breast cancer fundraiser on October 9th. (Bunco for Boobies) Guess that's why September just flew by. October doesn't look to be any better. I've got 3 crops in the next month...can hardly wait! I love getting together with other scrappers and stampers to see all their pretty papers. I'm hoping to put a dent in some of my stash...maybe some of them will want to swap. LOL!

I can't believe where June went, but I do know I had a lot of fun with the June Deal A Day promotion! I got 5 of the 6 goodie boxes and I was pleased with everything I got. My husband (aka Mr. Wonderful) got me the last goodie box for my birthday! He knows how to make me happy! It was full of great goodies...several stamp sets that I had always wanted, but never purchased...can you say SCORE!

I'll be attending a benefit crop this weekend for Cards for Soldiers and Hugs. It's titled Christmas in July and we'll be making cards to send to the soldiers that they can send back home at Christmas. I have a personal goal of 200...need to use up some of that paper I've been hoarding!

365 - Day 58 Something's Fishy

Today's challenge at 365 Cards was to design a card using at least one image of a fish on your card. This could be in the form of a stamp, paper, hand-drawn image or anything you can think of. I was in luck. The Stamp of the Month (SOM) for April is World's Best Dad. Although I've never seen a smiling fish, this stamp set has four. My design is a 3x3 card perfect to use as a tag for your Father's Day gift. It uses all CTMH products except for "Hugs & Fishes" which is Brush Script font from Word printed in brown on Bamboo cardstock and Broken Chino Distress Stickles. 365 Day 57 - Super Sketchy Sunday

Today's challenge at 365 Cards was to design a card using a sketch. Unfortunately, it was early morning when I checked it out and didn't notice the white card base so my card has some "hanging chads." My design uses all CTMH products. Creative Basics Emporium Collection B&T, Emporium Level 2 B&T, Vineyard Berry, Twilight, Sweet Leaf, and Colonial White cardstock, Bitty Brads, Mini Medley Shades of Chocolate paper flowers, Cocoa and Vineyard Berry Ink, 3-D Foams Squares, My Acrylix Stamp sets Card Comment and Simple Stitches. Once I fix my "hanging chad" issue, I'll be sending it to my mom for Mother's Day.

Today's challenge at 365 Cards was to use acrylic as a card base, front, back or all. My design uses all CTMH products except the acrylic which is acetate purchased from Office Depot. I used Stardust B&T, Stardust My Stickease, Moonstruck and Sunflower cardstock and Sunflower Organdy Ribbon. This card will be in the mail on Monday to my niece Jennifer in North Dakota.
